Applying Learning Styles in the Classroom

K-12 and Post-secondary Faculty; Community Instructors

Three hours (half day, 3 CEUs)

Instructor: Stephanie Kern, M.Ed.

Your faculty will discover their own learning style, and how a cross modal approach to teaching can facilitate formative assessment and drive higher levels of learning. Delivered at your site, all assessments and materials included. Participants are eligible to earn 3 credits of continuing education through the Montana Office of Public Instruction.

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Discover their unique learning style how to create lesson plans that automatically teach to multiple learning styles at once.

  • Be able to identify cross modal activities, and understand how they drive higher level thinking.

  • Understand how cross modal activities facilitate formative assessment.

  • Practice incorporating Learning Styles into new or existing curriculum.
